Soft and Chewy Nutella Cookies

“I often find myself craving things you can only get from supermarkets, and during Lockdown you can’t easily pop out for certain essential items… like those big, soft cookies in a bag you find in the bakery section. But fear not, I’ve got you backs, and I’ve whacked some Nutella in there to boot! Your sugar cravings are sorted my friends!”

Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: Makes 18 cookies

Ingredients:

150g butter
150g Nutella
50g caster sugar
150g soft brown
200g plain flour
50g cocoa
1 heaped Tsp cornflour
1 egg
100g dark chocolate chips

Method:


Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan and line 2 baking trays with baking parchment.

Cream the butter, Nutella and sugar in a bowl until well combined. Sift in the cocoa and cornflour and mix it thoroughly, it’ll turn into a fine crumb. Finally add the eggs and the chocolate and mix until it turns into dough.

Roll the dough into golf balls and put 6 to a baking sheet.

Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until they’ve spread and crackled on top!

Eat late at night, in the couch with a mug of tea!

  1. Only ever made a few cookies before so need ti ask if you just leave the douGh as golf ball shape to bake them? Usually have to press them down in orher recipes but wondering if thats diffe for these?

    • Hi Jenny. You can just leave them as balls and they’ll spread out happily into perfect cookies (hopefully!). We hope you enjoy them – we did.
